What Makes a Trained Leader?
To be registered with the Marin Council, BSA, an adult must complete Youth Protection Training and show proof of completion at the time of application for membership.
Plus, it must be renewed every 2 years in order to remain registered. Without renewal, adult members will be automatically removed as members during the rechartering process at the end of each year.

Take online training at my.scouting.org. (Note, with the exception of Youth Protection, you must have your BSA registration ID to take the online training.)
Online Training: If you are registered with the BSA, you can take online training. You will need your membership ID number to take the training. This number appears on your membership card. You do not need your membership ID to take Youth Protection Training if you are not yet registered. Log into the MyScouting.org site, and follow the directions. Be sure to print your certificate at the end. If you have difficulty with your login to online training, call the BSA national help desk at 972-580-2489.
Training Audit Form: Make sure your council training records are up to date by filling out this form and sending it to the council office.
