Scouts BSA Leader Position-Specific Training

Welcome new Scouts BSA parents and propsective leaders to a fun and valuable morning training session to help you get your Troop experience off on the right foot!  Complete this session while your Scouts are outdoors enjoying the Fall Camporee!  Connect with other leaders, have some fun, and get this important training in-person!

The course will provide these positions with the basic information and tools they need to lead successful Scout troops:

Scoutmasters & Assistant Scoutmasters

Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters who complete this course, Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills, BSA Youth Protection and Hazardous Weather Training are considered “TRAINED” for those positions.

Date & Time:  Saturday, September 26, 2026.  Check-in at 8:45am; training starts promptly at 9:00am; estimated completion before 1:00pm.

Location:  Bode Leadership Lodge, Camp Tamarancho, 1000 Iron Springs Road, Fairfax

Cost:  $10 per person includes assorted breakfast refreshments.
